Welcome to Randolph Community Middle

Greetings Randolph Community Middle School Families!

Welcome back!!  I hope you are having a relaxing and fun-filled summer.  We have less than three weeks before the 2017-2018 school year starts.  I look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential.  A strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education.  As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.  We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

1) Attends school daily and arrives on time (7:45 AM), ready for the day’s learning experiences

2) Completes all homework assignments given by teachers

3) Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills

4) Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school and go on to college

5) Gets 8-9 hours of sleep each night so he/she is ready for the school day

Student Schedules:  Homeroom assignments will be available at the Jamboree on Saturday, Aug. 19th. Students’ schedules will be handed out on opening day.  It is imperative that students report to their assigned room numbers on the first day of school.  Students reporting to class after 7:55 a.m. are considered late.  Students should arrive with a positive mindset and be ready to learn on opening day.

During the first days of school, you will receive important information and many forms that require your signature and your child’s health and emergency contact information.  Please sign all forms and return them to your child’s homeroom teacher by Tuesday, September 5th.  The District Handbook can be accessed on the RPS Website:  www.randolph.k12.ma.us.  If you have any questions about the rules and expectations, please feel free to contact me or to discuss them with your child’s teacher.  It is very important that you and your child are fully informed regarding standards related to appropriate behavior for a safe and productive school year.   Lastly, summer reading is due on the first day of school.  Please encourage your child to complete this work.

I thank you in advance for your support and look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,

Thea Stovell
